Lacking selfies on your Instagram? Spice up your feed with photos taken at the newly-opened Bestfriendz Selfie Lounge on Market Square Drive.

For a $25-75 admission, you can capture the perfect selfies in over 15 different rooms. The lounge is open Monday-Friday from 12-8 p.m., Saturday 11-8 p.m., and Sunday 11-6 p.m.

Inspired by a selfie lounge she visited in Atlanta, owner Brandi Little said she wanted to bring something similar to teens in her area.

A local for most of her life, she said she thought it was only right to open the business in the area in which she had grown up. 

Little brought in local artists to design the walls for the rooms of Bestfriendz. While some designs will remain more permanent than others, there is some flexibility for updates, such as decorating for upcoming holidays, like St. Patrick’s Day and Easter.

A couple of SHS seniors visited a similar selfie lounge, Studio 31 in Akron, over the summer.

“We had the studio to ourselves for an hour, and being alone in the studio was calming, seeing as no one was there to watch us pose,” said Sydney Grishaber. “We were also allowed to connect to the speaker there and play any music we wanted.” 

At first, Grishaber and her friends were skeptical about whether or not they would enjoy the selfie studio but ended up having the time of their lives. 

“I thought in the beginning that it was too much time,” senior Kennedy Danna said,” but we ended up having so much fun that I wish we could have stayed longer.”

Both girls posted selfies taken at the lounge on their Instagram @sydney.grishaber and @kennedydanna_ and would recommend the business to others. 

They also expressed excitement about the new attraction in their town.

Grishaber said she could not wait to visit the new attraction in her town since it was close to home, low cost and high end.

One thing that makes Bestfriendz Selfie Lounge unique is that it is not aimed at just one age group. 

“If you are a child, you experience it in a different way than if you were a teenager with their girlfriends, and if you are a guy who’s thinking, ‘I don’t want to take selfies’, you’re still gonna have fun’,” Little said. “It’s not for one specific age, it’s not just for girls, it’s for everyone.”
